Skype’s new iPhone Application Introduces 3G Calling Functionality

Skype today announced the launch of the new version of its iPhone application. Users in Australia/ New Zealand can download from the Apple App Store today, this update allows iPhone users to make and receive Skype-to-Skype calls, and to call mobiles and landlines around the world at very low rates for the first time over their 3G data connection.

Android Ported to iPhone

Hacker Planetbeing has apparently ported the Android to the iPhone. The Android OS is, in this video, apparently running successfully on the Apple phone.
Planetbeing has offered the Android-to-iPhone “pre-built images and sources” as a torrent download.
For the time being, it looks like the porting only works on first-generation iPhones.
